Pdf sewing pattern - Rosy crop cardigan with tie front or with a button closure by Sinclair Patterns

Featuring: fitted at the shoulders and bust, slightly fitted at the waist and hips hip or crop length cardigan designed for knit fabrics. Comes with a regular square hem, rounded hem or a flounce hem. Decorated with a front tie closure that is a part of neckline finish or with a loop and a button. Can be finished with short, elbow, 3/4 or long sleeves (hemmed or cuffed). Compatible with sleeve add-on packs (pick one size up).


The pattern offers the following options:

View A - a high/regular or low hip length cardigan with a square hem

View B - a high hip length cardigan with a flounce

View C - a high hip / hip length cardigan with a rounded hem and a button closure

Great pattern

Rosy was just the pattern I was looking for to make a small cardigan to wear over sleeveless and short sleeved summer dresses. I made it in black bamboo jersey and it looks great. I shall be making more to coordinate with other dresses.

Good but could be better

Firstly, PLEASE either remove the print preview of the tall pattern or add previews of the regular and petite. The petite has a different layout and you waste a lot of paper if you rely on the preview given.
Now I know this is meant to go over another top, so it has a lowered armscye and more ease in the sleeve, but (for me at least) the sleeves are terrible. There is way too much fabric at the front of the sleeve, the back is fine. I have slim arms so I normally slim down the sleeves on Sinclair Patterns but that hasn't had much effect this time, there are is still excess fabric at the front of the sleeve with lots of folds and wrinkles. I don't think sizing down would have helped much but I will try that next time.
On the plus side the instructions are excellent, as always with Sinclair Patterns, and the drafting of the curved front/binding is superb. I will make more of these but I'm going to redraft the armscye so it's the same as the Macy, and use the sleeve I modified for that.

First projector sewing project

I chose the straight style for my first projected pattern because it is a simple design, with few, straightforward pieces. It turned out well; though I have some things to learn about projecting a pattern, the design and construction were great! It has the potential to be very versatile, depending on style and fabric choice.

Are all sizes included with the pattern?

Yes, all sizes and heights are included with the pattern. Please refer to the sizing guide in the pattern description for sizing. Please note, that some of the patterns have slightly different sizing guides (US0-US22 or US0-US30 for women's patterns).

Do you sell paper patterns?

We only offer digital sewing patterns, that you can download and print at home or at online printing service / copy shop or project them onto a fabric using a projector.

Are your patterns layered?

Yes, all our patterns are layered and that means you can choose sizes to print / project when working in Adobe Acrobat.
